It boils down to this—every element of the show (the script, actors, direction, etc.) was executed to perfection, it just didn’t move me. If you are looking for a good rendition of a classic absurdist play, go ahead and buy a ticket. But if you’re just looking for a date-night play, maybe find something else.

There are two things that are critical to the success of any musical comedy: It must be fun and it must be heartfelt. School of Rock – The Musical is certainly fun, but it lacks the heart to become a classic.
